Basic LATTE Information

LATTE, our university on-line instruction environment, is already configured with space dedicated to your course.  Even if you haven't used it recently, it's easy to activate your course, add readings, and send emails to your enrolled students.  Some information to get you started:

Accessing your LATTE courses
Activating your LATTE courses
Adding content to your LATTE Courses
Sending emails to your Enrolled Students

Advanced LATTE Information

Particular tools in LATTE can facilitate online asynchronous communication, or, more simply, let your students communicate in writing no matter where they are and when during the day they write.  With some preparation and planning, the Forum tool can allow you to shift in-class conversations entirely online.

Setting up your LATTE forum
Introduction to online discussions (tutorial)
Bibliography of further online discussions information

Other Tools

You may find some other online tools useful:

Brandeis Mailing Lists.  Our basic mailing list service allows you to easily distribute email messages to a group of addresses you select.
Blogs @ Brandeis.  A new service, Blogs @ Brandeis allows you to create a basic blog, or easily-updated webpage, and either make the content public or restrict it to members you select.
